PS Tip #3 - Display the same image in two windows

Writing by admin on Sunday, 28 of January , 2007 at 5:16 am

Display The Same Image In Two Windows
When doing detail work on an image you may need to zoom in to take a closer look at the pixels. But to make sure that any changes you’re making in this magnified state will look realistic at a normal view you’ll have to zoom out for a quick look. Here’s a great tip - instead of zooming in and out you can have the same image open in two windows at the same time.

With an open image selected choose Window -> Arrange -> New Window (the original file name will be listed). The same image will now appear in a new second window.
Keep one window set at 100% to see your effects, and work in the second window - either zoomed in or zoomed out. Sweet.

PS Tip #2 - Fill and Stroke from the keyboard

Writing by admin on Sunday, 28 of January , 2007 at 4:39 am

Fill and Stroke From the Keyboard

There’s a quicker way to switch between the fill and stroke than clicking on their icons at the bottom of the Toolbox. The icon in front indicates which is active, fill or stroke. If the stroke is active and you want to work on the fill (or vice versa) press “x”. Each time you will toggle between an active fill or stroke (unless you’re using the Type tool).

PS Tip #1 - Perfect Unsharp Mask Settings

Writing by admin on Sunday, 28 of January , 2007 at 4:11 am

Perfect Unsharp Mask Settings

When you resize an image in Photoshop, it loses a lot of its detail. To get that detail back, try these settings by going to Filter -> Sharpen -> Unsharp Mask.

Amount: 100% - 150%
Radius: 0.6
Rhreshold: 0

Now you’ll never have to settle for a blury image again!
